
Eng. Adel Tawfik, Managing Executive Director, and Eng. Sami Moussa, Head of the Execution Sector, received Dr. Eng. Mohamed Khalafallah, Chairman of the Tourism Villages Authority, along with the accompanying delegation, at the site of the New Marina Project – Southern Expansions. The visit focused on reviewing the current implementation status and the execution plan for the upcoming phase.
The visit began with a meeting at the Chairman’s office to review progress rates, followed by a field tour to inspect the works of the artificial lakes at the southern expansions (New Marina by the Lake). The first phase of the project has reached an implementation rate of approximately 87%, covering an area of nearly 195 feddans.
Dr. Eng. Mohamed Khalafallah commended the achievements accomplished to date, directing that execution rates be accelerated while maintaining full compliance with quality standards and technical specifications, in line with the approved timeline.
The Chairman of the Tourism Villages Authority emphasized that these expansions represent a major urban and developmental extension aimed at creating sustainable, fully serviced tourism, investment, and residential opportunities. He also stressed the importance of adhering to occupational health and safety procedures and submitting regular progress reports to overcome any obstacles.
For his part, Eng. Adel Tawfik stated that the Egyptian Dredging Company takes pride in its role in executing excavation, dredging, and lake formation works as one of the leading national companies in this field. He added that the progress achieved at New Marina reflects the state’s vision of transforming the North Coast into an integrated tourism and investment destination.
